In late January I visited Somerset, spending a night in Wells before heading on to Glastonbury. I wanted to see some of the locations from Hot Fuzz. The cathedral was digitally removed from the film, so as not to spoil the small town feel. It is a magnificent building and wandering through it, the sound of the organist rehearsing in those grand surroundings inspired me. So too the light moving across the spectacular facade. This short recording is the result of me trying to recapture those memories.

'An eerie loveliness that should really be soundtracking a Werner Herzog film; indeed Popol Vuh’s work provides a useful reference point as, similar to Vuh, the music herein is almost religious in its solemnity and grace.' The Active Listener
