about

The Agricultural Light & Magick series compiles various live appearances (& occasionally other ephemera) since Raising Holy Sparks was summoned in 2011. Lately I've been playing under my own name also, but there have only been a handful of appearances thus far.

Die Friese, Bremen, Germany (19/04/14)

Subground 43, Dublin, Ireland (17/06/12)

Hag House, Athlone, Ireland (06/04/12)

The Bremen set came at the beginning of a European tour with Innercity & I can hear myself finding my feet. The transitions aren't as slick, heh, but the spirit is there. Many great bands played that day, Datashock & Flamingo Creatures being highlights. Hanging with Holger et al was also wonderful. Bart & I getting locked out & having to get back in via the fire escape after too many strong German beers probably not the best idea, mind. The second set comes from a short-lived venue in Dublin & is a weird meditation. Not sure where this one came out of but I like it. Emer Brady, Willie Stewart & Gavin Prior join me for this one (anyone else?) With Lumps were the main act & a fine one too. The final set is from the shores of Lough Ree & I'm joined by Neil Fitzgibbon on fiddle. Shortly after this, Woven Skull got the room moving...
